Eugenia Powers (Weber) - Class Of 1908

Mrs. Eugenia Powers Weber, 80, of 416 East Cherry street, and widow of Dr. James A. Weber, Sr., died Monday evening (1969) at the Richland Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Weber was born in Lawrence county on August 8, 1888 daughter of the late Eugene A. and Kate Morrison Powers. She was a member of the First United Methodist church. Her husband, Dr. Weber, died on November 13, 1951.

She is survived by three sons and four daughters: Dr. Eugene P. Weber, Dr. James A. Weber,Jr., and John C. Weber, all of Olney; Mrs. John (Katharina) Fye, Mrs. James B. (Mary) Redman and Mrs. Glenn (Eugenia) Edmiston, all of Olney, and Mrs.Robert (George Jolly) Rye of  Monroe, Michigan. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Katharine McCulloch of 0lney and Mrs. Max (Mary Powers) Hill of Tampa, Florida. There are 32 grandchildren and  12 great-grandchildren also surviving.

Funeral services for Mrs. Weber will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ragsdale officiating, interment will be in Haven Hill cemetery.
