Joann E. Krudwig, 83, of Olney, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Carlson officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Krudwig was born May 20, 1927, in Amboy, the daughter of Frank M. and Ida (Robinson) Gillespie. She married Thornton D. "Bud" Krudwig on June 3, 1944. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2004.

She was a homemaker and had also worked for several years at J. Spencer Woodworth Insurance Company in Robinson, and enjoyed working as a real-estate agent in Titusville, Fla. She was a loving mother and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and BPOE.

Mrs. Krudwig is survived by her daughter, Karen Siddens, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; daughter, Ann Boyd and husband, Phil, of Olney; granddaughter, Susan López and husband, Carlos, of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela; granddaughter, Angela Sloss and husband, Chris, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; grandson, Andrew K. Flynn, of Olney; great-granddaughters, Rachel and Kate Sloss; and nephew, Robert Forrest, of Plano, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank M. and Ida Gillespie; husband, Thornton D. "Bud" Krudwig; two daughters, Lynn Krudwig and Susan Krudwig; brother, Bobby Gillespie; sister, Ruth Gillespie; and son-in-law, Dr. David Siddens.
