Stephen Vincent Van Cleve, age 80 of Palm Desert, California, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born January 14, 1936 son of Charles V. and Grace A. (Chaplin) Van Cleve. He married CyndaLu Bunting on August 28, 1955 and she preceded him in death in 2015 after 59 years of marriage.
Steve and his wife had recently moved from rural Sumner, Illinois to California and purchased a home there, to continue their retirement.
He is survived by three children, Pamela Hunter and Curtis Van Cleve, both of California and David Van Cleve of Illinois.
In addition to his wife, Cyndalu VanCleve, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial was in Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, Illinois

Steve was my first cousin and we had just found each other after 55 years, thanks to my sister Sandy seeing his birthday listed on the ERHS website and contacting him.
