Raymond S. Schneiter, 79, Olney died Monday March 27, 1978 in Vero Beach, Florida.  Services at the Zirkle Funeral Home in Olney, burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Schneiter was born October 25, 1898 the son of John and Emma (Wetzlau) Schneiter.

For 85 years, Mr. Schneiter's family operated the Schneiter Brothers Grocery in Olney. He and his brother operated the store for many years. He retired in 1967.  He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of Olney B.P.O.E. #926 and a member of the school board in Olney for three terms.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Lytle Schneiter; daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty Lou) Powhatan, Vero Beach, Fla. and Mrs. James (Gloria) Welch, Norman, Okla.; a brother, John of Olney and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Edna) Dees, Oblong.
