Foster M. Poole - Class Of 1916

Foster M. Poole, 72 of Dallas, Texas, a 1916 graduate of the Olney Township High School and resident of Olney from 1911 until 1916, died August 21, 1970 at Dallas, according to a newspaper account.  Funeral services at Restland's Wildwood Chapel in Dallas with interment in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Poole was born July 14, 1898 in Albion, Illinois, son of the late Rev. and Mrs. W.H.Poole. His parents lived in Olney while his father was superintendent of the Olney District of the Methodist church.  While attending high school, he was a member of the football team. He attended the fiftieth anniversary of his high school class held in 1966.

He attended the University of Illinois and moved to Dallas in 1936 when he became manager of the southwestern regional office in Dallas for the Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Co. Two years later he resigned to form the Poole Instruments, Inc. of which he was president at the time of his death. He was a member of the University Park United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, two sons, William S. and Foster M. Poole, Jr. both of Dallas, a sister, Mrs. Helen George of Edwardsville, Illinois and five grandchildren.
