Myrtle Leamon (Bartlett) - Class Of 1916

Myrtle I. (Leamon) Bartlett, 83, of Salem, Oregon died Tuesday, February 23, 1982 at Salem Hospital Memorial Unit.

Born in Yale, Illinois, she moved to Carvallis in 1953 and lived in Gervais and Woodburn before coming here three years ago.

She graduated from Olney Township High School in 1916 and was a retired school teacher and was a past matron of Gervais Eastern Star #118, Delta Kappa Gamma Teaching Honorary and Woodburn Grange.

She married Merlin J. Bartlett and he died in 1976.

Survivors include daughter, Cecile Atkins, Salem; sisters, Opal Brandstater, Glendale, Calif. and Hazel Schaeffer, Casey, Ill.; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews including Rosemary Higgins of Olney and Edna Bruce, a cousin.

Services and interment in Leamon Cemetery in Casey, Illinois.
