Services for Mrs. Ailene (Gates) Kiest, 50, of W. 83^rd St, Chicago, former supervisor of women’s physical training instructors for the Chicago Park District, were held Monday in the chapel at 2121 W. 95^th St.

Mrs. Kiest died Friday, June 3, 1949 in her home. She retired January 31 because of ill health.

She was the wife of Benjamin F. Kiest of Chicago; daughter of Hattie (Bowlby) Gates of Monmouth, Illinois and the late Wilson S. Gates; and sister of A. Delmar Gates and Elvin R. Gates of St. Louis, Missouri and sister of the late Elsye M. Gates.
