Mrs. HELEN C. GARDNER,  76, died Saturday noon (June 21, 1975) at Richland Memorial Hospital following a long period of ill health.

Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Edwin P. Schaich officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Gardner was a native of Richland County, the daughter of Ross Clem and Rachael Ravenscroft Clem. She was married to John Elliott in 1917 who preceded her in death in February of 1963. She was married to Hobart Gardner September 29, 1966.

Mrs. Gardner was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and had been employed for several years at the Richland Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Olney Township High School class of 1916.

She is survived by her husband, Hobart; a daughter, Mrs. Evelene Helgen of Plainfield, Iowa; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Walter Kester, Olney and Mrs. Louis Stivers, Carlinville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Mrs. Betty Morris.
