In Memory

Grace Adams - Class Of 1916

Miss Grace Adams, 26, died at St. Louis, Missouri  on Tuesday morning November 6, 1923.  Miss Adams is the daughter of David R. and Susan A. Delzell Adams.

Miss Adams was one of the most popular teachers in Central School and had been in Arizona with her brother, in the hope of regaining her health which had broken down under hard work and an attack of the flu.

Last winter she devoted herself to the care of her parents who were in poor health and at the same time taking care of her work in the school room.  When she was taken ill her system was in no condition to withstand the disease and as soon as she was able she went to Arizona in the hope that the climate would be beneficial to her health.  On the return trip, she was compelled to stop at St. Louis Sunday.  Her parents were notified and went to her bedside.

Funeral services will be held Saturday.

Miss Adams was loved by all who knew her and her death was a shock to the entire community.
