Anna Marie Poland, 89, died September 26, 1985 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Graveside services in Haven Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dave Kirk presiding.

She was born in Clay County May 9, 1896 to William and Harriet (Jones) Watkins. March 28, 1919 she was married to Court Poland, who preceded her in death.

She was the former owner of the Litz Hotel and was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

Mrs. Poland is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Toby (Olive) Harrington, Denver, Co; Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Hocking, Olney; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one niece.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lura Lough.
