Hazel L. (Hill) Schmidt, 81, of Wauconda, formerly of Charleston, Illinois died Sunday, March 26, 1989 in Wauconda.

She was born January 6, 1908 in Dundas, Illinois, the daughter of William and Sarah (Franklin) Hill. She married Phillip L. Schmidt on May 28, 1943. He died in 1959.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Martha) Elwell of Wauconda and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Charleston Sopha C. Chapter of Eastern Star.

The funeral was held at Caudill-King Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Clark officiating. Burial in Mound Cemetery.
