Elmer M. Henry, 79, Columbus, Ind., died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 1987, in Four Seasons Health Care Center.  Services in the Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home, Jonathon Moore Pike Chapel, with Rev. Richard Tremain presiding.  Burial in Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. Henry was born Nov. 11, 1907, in Claremont, the son of John O. and Carrie E. (Groff) Henry. He married Orma I. Peters, May 22, 1937, and she preceded him in death March 19, 1987.

He was a retired owner of a nursery and landscape business in Flossmoor. He was a member of the Faith Luthern Church.

Survivors include a son, John E. Henry of Columbus, Ind.; two sisters, Hettie Josephine Cessna of Olney, and Welcome Hummell of Dayton Ohio; a sister-in-law; and two grandchildren.
