Henry Gordon Madden, 82, of Columbus, Georgia died Thursday, January 14, 1988 at Oak Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services held at Dietrich Funeral Home, DeSoto, Missouri, with burial in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Madden was born September 4, 1905 in Olney, IL, son of Louis and Kathryn (Bullard) Madden. He lived in DeSoto before moving to Columbus four years ago. He retired in 1970 as an electrical engineer for Wagner Electric Corporation of St. Louis. He was a lifetime member and former chairman of the St. Louis Board of Electric Trades.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan M. Frank of Columbus; two brothers, Willard Madden of St. Francisville, IL and William I. Madden of Lombard, IL; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
