Dr. Cameron Harman, 76, Sandford, North Carolina, died this morning, February 22, 1982 in Sandford.  Services in Millers Funeral Home in Sandford.

Mr. Harman was born July 7, 1905 in Grayville, Illinois, the son of Elbert and Sophia (Sloat) Harman.  He married Frances White and she survives.

He was a graduate of OTHS in 1924 and received his doctorate from the University of Illinois.  He was a chemist, engineer, educator and author.

Other survives include a son, Cameron Jr., Philadelphia; a daughter, Mary Lee Price, Philadelphia; four sisters, Dorcas Lee Elliott, Olney; Mabel Horne, Washington, D.C.; Elberta Marshky, Champaign; Jean McLeod, Dallas, Texas; his mother, Sophia Harman, Champaign and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John T.
