Donald E. Riggs, 81, of 4 Brian Drive, Olney died Friday June 6, 1986 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers Funeral Home with burial in the Crest Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Cox officiating.

Mr. Riggs was born near Calhoun,  December 29, 1904, son of Samuel H. Riggs and Anna Kettenring Riggs. He married Esther Marks on July 11, 1936, who survives.

Riggs was a retired fitter for welders in the General Motors plant for 25 years. He was also a member of the Elm Street Christian Church in Olney and 60-year member of Modern Woodmen of America.

Other survivors include one brother, Howard of Lincoln; two sisters, Ethel Hall, Dearborn Heights, Mich. and Mildred Linderman of Belleville, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
