Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Olive (Smith) Brant, 61, wife of Ellis L. Brant, who died Friday, March 18, 1966 in Phoenix, Arizona, will be held at Central Christian Church with interment in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Illinois.

Mrs. Brant was born September 19, 1904 in Edwards County, Illinois; daughter of Elmer and Nora (Fritchley) Smith. She was married to Ellis Brant on June 15, 1934 in Woodstock.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Thomas Brant of LaGrange, IL and Richard Brant of Kewanee; a foster daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Ascherman of Lovington; one brother, Eugene Smith of North Pekin and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Brant was a member of Central Christian Church. She was employed in the Jacksonville State Hospital housekeeping department and retired as executive housekeeper in July 1965.
