Virginia Craig (Draper)

Virginia R. “Cookie” (Craig) Draper, 81, of Monticello, Indiana died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at her residence. Born August 12, 1923 in Dundas, Illinois, daughter of Ernest M. and Katie E.(Williamson) Craig, she graduated in 1940 from Olney Township High School in Olney, Illinois. She married James D. Staggs and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1988. She married Don Draper Jr on February 14, 1992 in Gallatin, Tennessee and he survives.

Mrs. Draper was a dental assistant for Dr. C.S. Sabel from August of 1958 to May of 1988. She later worked for Dr. Reinhold in Monticello.

She was a member of Yeoman United Methodist Church. Mrs. Draper enjoyed reading, gardening and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her husband, Don Draper; three sons, Gary Staggs and Dan Staggs both of Lafayette and James Staggs of Monticello; a step-daughter, Ruth Ann Witson of Delphi; a step-son, Chester L. Draper of Salem, Ala; a brother, Bob Craig (Elizabeth) of Olney, Illinois and two sisters, Lorene Leaf and Lucille Kistner both of Olney.

Burial in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, Indiana
