Dale Chaplin, 51, of Arley, Alabama, formerly of Olney, former crane operator, died Sunday, June 24, 2012. Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Claremont.

Dale was born July 7, 1960, Hillsdale, Michigan to Myrl Chaplin and Marjorie Daubs.

He is survived by his special friend, Barbara Smith, his parents, Olney, IL and sons, Cory Chaplin, Ft. Walton, FL, Matthew Chaplin and wife, Bridget, Denver, CO and Brandon Chaplin, Denver, CO. A granddaughter survives, Grace Chaplin and a grandson, Brandon Chaplin, Jr. brothers and sisters surviving are Larry Chaplin, Olney, IL, Linda Clow and husband, Bill, Olney, IL, Merrill Chaplin and wife, Vonna, Mahomet, IL, Gerald Chaplin and wife, Robin, Olney, IL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Lester Chaplin.
