92 year old former West Salem, Illinois resident Ovella Gillespie of Olney, Illinois died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

She was a beautician and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Ovella was born April 1, 1923 in West Salem, Illinois to Elmer and Rena Massie Hoeszle. She was united in marriage to Malcolm Gillespie. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter Karen Vallette and her husband Larry of West Salem, Illinois;  nephews Bob and Larry Hoeszle; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Ovella was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Forrest Hoeszle.

Funeral services at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion with Bro. Carson Root  officiating.  Burial in the Marion Christian Church Cemetery.
