Darrell L. Buckels, 73, of Albion, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in a St. Louis hospital.

Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Mr. Buckels was born June 17, 1934  the son of the late Howard and Vera Buckels. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Boilermakers Union.

He is the dear father of Rick (Karen), Dennis (Mechele), David, Darla (Rob), Tony (Kristi), Patty (Lee), Bill (Linda), Mike and Shawn (Shannon); grandfather of 23; great-grandfather of seven; brother of Joe (Nancy), Merle (Soon) and Ronald (Violet); and a dear uncle and friend.
