Ida Erlene Hinkle, 76, Johnson City, Tenn. died this morning, December 30, 1982 at Colonial Hill Nursing Home in Johnson City.  Services in the Zirkle Funeral Home with Pastor John P. Kaitschuk presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinkle was born August 5, 1906 in Dundas, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Wickham) Zerkel. She married Dr. Thomas Clark Hinkle Jr. May 8, 1937 in Olney and he preceded her in death December 28, 1971.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clark T., Erwin, Tenn.; James E., Sterling Heights, Mich.; a twin sister, Mrs. Lea (Ada) Frost, Olney; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Martin, Hugh, Samuel; four sisters, Mrs. Lola Burgener, Mrs. Myra Burgener, Mrs. Nina Yost, and an infant sister, Marie.
