Lot Summers - Class Of 1925

LOT N. SUMMERS, 91, of Belvidere died Thursday May 30, 1996 at home after a lengthy illness.

Lot was born August 1, 1904 in Albion, IL, son of Charles W. and Martha Nevius Summers. He lived most of his life in Belvidere. He married Ferne Ferling March 14, 1936 in Delphi, Indiana.

He was employed 40 years as a foreman and carpenter by Shappert Engineering Co., retiring in 1970. He was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Allen) Zierke of Schiller Park and Marcia Maki of Belvidere; son, James Summers of El Cerrito, Calif.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and brother, Max Summers of Belvidere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers, Ray, Clifton and James Summers.
