Albert L. Kurtz - Class Of 1925

Albert L. Kurtz, Jr., 79, a former Olney resident, died Sunday April 27, 1986 in Tucson, Ariz.

He was born March 3, 1907 in Peoria, the son of Albert L. Kurtz, Sr. and Gertrude Chesrown Kurtz.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; a son, Arthur Kurtz of Olney; a daughter, Patricia Dever of Edinburg, Texas; a step-daughter, Debbie Pace; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Shultz Kurtz, a son, Albert L. Kurtz III, an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.

He was affectionately known as "Duke", and was an Olney businessman for many years. He was president of Shultz Seed Company; president of the Olney Chamber of Commerce 1949-50; owner of the Tip Top Motel; a member of the Presbyterian Church; a member of the Olney Petroleum Club and the Olney Elks.
