Virgil D. King, 80, Pana, formerly of Olney died Tuesday January 12, 1988 at the Pana Health Care Center.  Services at McCracken Funeral Home in Pana with burial in Linwood Cemetery, Pana.

Mr. King was born January 27, 1907 in Wakefield, the son of Dewey and Maggie (Black) King. He married Esther Rinehart, who preceded him in death.

He was a retired oil field pumper.

Surviving are one son, James King of Pana; one daughter, Mary M. Sprague of St. Peters, Mo.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
