Mary Celeste Porter, 95, of Olney, formerly of Fairfield, died September 9, 1999 at Mary Burgin's Boarding Home in Olney.

Memorial services at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Fairfield. Her body was donated for medical research.

Mrs. Porter was born August 15, 1904 in Olney, the daughter of George T. and Elizabeth (Hausner) Weber. She married Howard Porter. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a well known artist.

Mrs. Porter is survived by one son, Howard Porter, Jr. of Gainsville, Fla.; three daughters, Ann Bessette and her husband, Joseph of Tulsa, Ok., Claire Biel of Alachua, Fla. and Mary Gillaspy and her husband, Dawson of Oley, PA.; two sisters, Teep Albers of Kettering, Ohio and Sally Adamson of Arlington, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, eight sisters and four brothers.
