Sarah Cassady, 87, of Olney, died Wednesday, June 2, 1993, at Olney Care Center.  Graveside services at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Loretta Cummins officiating.

Mrs. Cassady was born June 15, 1903, the daughter of William E. and Sadie (Blakely) Moore. She married Robert Ritter and he preceded her in death. She later married Harry William Cassady and he preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1971.

Mrs. Cassady was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Olney and past Democratic party chairwoman for Richland County.

Mrs. Cassady is survived by four sons, Robert Ritter, William Ritter, Edward Ritter and Douglas Cassady, all of Olney; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cassady was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one brother and one sister.
