Mary I. Shaw, 80, of Olney died Saturday, January 28, 1983 in Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Jones presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw was born May 18, 1903 in Olney, the daughter of Edmund J. and Almeda (Riley) McGookey, Jr.  She married Charles Byron Shaw and he preceded her in death, February 14, 1960.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and wife, Phyllis and Byron Gary; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers.
