Zora Florence Kobernus, 79, Jacksonville, and formerly of Richland County, died Saturday January 16, 1982 in the Convalescent home in Jacksonville.  Services in the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry St. Claire presiding. Burial in Dundas Cemetery.

Mrs. Kobernus was born February 9, 1902 in Richland County, the daughter of Henry Joseph and Minnie C. (Scherer) Holtz.

She was a member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Jo Kobernus, Virginia; two sisters, Ethel Crosby, Olney; and Mary Seiler, Taylorville; a grandchild, Becky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Earl and Harry Holtz, and a son, Vernon.
