Carter Kibler - Class Of 1923

Carter D. Kibler, 39, of Dale, Indiana, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Kibler of Olney, passed away Tuesday morning February 27, 1945 at Barnes hospital, St. Louis, where he had been a patient the last several weeks. His health had been failing for some years due to lymphatic leukemia.

Knowing for a number of years that his life-span was limited, regular visits to the St. Louis hospital for special treatment being required to keep him going. Mr. Kibler's uncomplaining cheerful attitude--to his friends and his family--was a beautiful personification of courage.

Mr. Kibler, a native of Olney who had resided here until he moved to Dale, Ind. in 1935, where he advanced to the position of sales manager for the Winkler and Son Wholesale Grocery company, is survived by his wife, Ida, one daughter, Anne 12, one son, George, 6, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Kibler, of Olney.

The body was returned to Olney and funeral services held in the Olney Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Zumstein, now of Mt. Pulaski, officiating. Interment in the Kibler Mausoleum at Newton.
