Lawrence Weber - Class Of 1923

Dr. Lawrence F. Weber, 83, Olney died Friday February 1, 1985 at the Olney Care Center.  Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home with Dr. W.A. Robinson and Rev. Dwight Jones officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Dr. Weber was born May 14, 1901 in Ingraham, son of Benedict and Catherine (Desch) Weber. He married Rose Bolen on March 19, 1937 and she survives.

Dr. Lawrence as he was known, attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in June 1929. His internship was served at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis. He practiced medicine at the Olney Sanitarium and later with the Weber Medical Clinic until his retirement in 1966.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Richland Post No. 30 American Legion and Olney Lodge 926, B.P.O. Elks. He was also a member of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity and Kappa Sig Social Fraternity.

Surviving is his wife, Rose; a niece Romona Weber Tolliver and her husband, Don of Kent, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Weber of Olney and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth and two brothers, Raymond and Alvia.
