Mary Elizabeth (George) Root, age 79 of Tucson, Arizona passed away May 30, 1984. She was born August 10, 1904 daughter of Charles E. and Belle C. (Lewis) George.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, State Senator, Charles W. Root. She married Charles W. Root in Marion, Illinos in 1926.

She was the beloved mother of David E. Root of Colo. and Cecelia B. Orth of Ariz.; beloved grandmother of Leah Beth Spanyard and Kara Lynn Orth of Ariz., Janet Rae Hall of Cal., Pamela Jean Root of Wy. and Maria Lee Root of Colo; beloved sister of Lovell W. George of Mo.
