Frank C. Weber - Class Of 1922

Dr. Frank C. Weber, 77, 317 S. Elliott, well-known local physician, died Monday August 24, 1981 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

Dr. Weber, a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where he studied both Pre-Med and Medical. He first opened a general practice in Olney, but later he studied prosthetic, fuse fracture and orthopedic surgery.

He was vice-president of the American Fracture Association and a pioneer of external fracture repair, an innovative method of fixing fractures. He taught this method to other doctors.

Dr. Weber retired from practice in 1971 and moved to Lake Sarah in Effingham. He returned to Olney two years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Weber; three daughters, Rosemary (Posey) Eagleson and Mrs. Mildred Francis (Mimsie) Coan, both of Olney; and Billie Neal Minor, Albuequerque, N.M.; a brother, Dr. Paul Weber, Olney; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services at Haven Hill Cemetery.
