Byron Harnishfeger, Sr., 80, Youngstown, Ohio died Sunday January 20, 1985 in South Side Hospital in Youngstown. Services at Davis-Velker Funeral Home in Youngstown.

Mr. Harnishfeger was born June 16, 1904 in Olney, the son of George and Dezzie Rollen Harnishfeger. He married Thelma Schrey September 5, 1926 and she survives.

He had worked for the former Overhead Door Co. after going to Youngstown in 1941; then worked 27 years for the former W.O. Strausbaugh auto dealership in Youngstown, retiring as parts specifier in 1972.

Other survivors include a son, Byron Jr., Canfield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Ralph.
