Marsdon Grubb - Class Of 1922

Marsdon U. Grubb, 71, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, a native of Richland County, and a 1922 graduate of Olney Township High School, died September 22, 1972 at the Hendersonville hospital after a two month illness.

Mr. Grubb, a native of Noble, lived in Rocky River, Ohio for 37 years before coming to Hendersonville two years ago. He was principal of Rocky River High School from 1933 to 1954 at which time he joined the faculty as the Jennings Scholar instructor of Biology. He maintained this position until his retirement in 1966.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Margaret Summers Grubb, one daughter, Mrs. Thomas S. Hardesty of Stone Mountain, Ga., two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Earnest of Portland, Ore. and Mrs. Mabel Gamlin of Puryear, Tenn., one brother, Loy A. Callen of Colorado Springs, Colo. and two granddaughters.

Services held in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John C. Neville, Jr. officiating. Burial in Shepherd Memorial Park in Hendersonville, N.C.
