J. Norman Bailey of Washington, D.C., formerly of Olney passed away on December 6, 1972 at Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys and a sister, Miss Lura Bailey of Olney, who has just returned home after being called to Washington because of his death.

Funeral and burial took place in the national capital.

He was a native of Richland County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Bailey and was a 1922 graduate of the Olney Township High School.

He also attended a local business college and became a Civil Service employee in a governmental job for many years and had been retired in recent years.
