Mrs. Joseph (Helen G. Compton) Gordon, 70 of Decatur, Illinois died Friday morning, June 27, 1969 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1899 in Richland County and was the daughter of Clarence and Violet (Trainor) Compton.

Helen was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Joseph Gordon preceded her in death.

She leaves a sister, Mrs. Ruth Barthelemy, Warrensburg and a brother, Harold Compton of Indian Town, Fla.

Private interment services at Riverside Cemetery, Newton, Illinois. Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home in charge.
