Pauline Weidner (Toliver) - Class Of 1921

Pauline Toliver, 86, rural Varna, died on Wednesday, March 16, 1988 at Monte Cassino Health Care Center in Toluca.  Funeral services at the Crow Meadow Presbyterian Church in LaRose with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Toliver was born on October 1, 1901 in rural Clay County to George and Louise (Frank) Weidner.  She married Delbert Toliver on December 22, 1923 in Noble, and he survives.

A resident of rural Varna since 1923, she had been an elementary school teacher in Clay County.  She was a member of the Crow Meadow Presbyterian Church of LaRose, where she was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent for more that 50 years.  She was a member of the Women's Presbyterian Organization and the WCTU.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Dean Toliver of rural Magnolia; three half-brothers, George, Royal and J.V. Weidner; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and her parents.
