Dr. George Boyd Byers, 87, of 148 South Arcadia Park, a retired University of Kentucky Department of Agriculture professor and husband of Sarah I. Stevens Byers, died Friday, November 13, 1987 at his home.

Dr. Byers was born June 29, 1900 son of Luther P. and Anna May (Cook) Byers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Grace Courtright and Hazel Fritschle.

Services in Blue Grass Memorial Garden. No visitation. W.R. Milward's Mortuary -- Broadway is in charge of arrangements. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
