Lawrence R. Adams - Class Of 1921

Lawrence Adams, 64, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, March 31, 1968 at the Hillsboro Hospital.

Mr. Adams had been incapacitated for more than 10 years and was unable to perform his duties as high school principal at Hillsboro, where he had resided for the past thirty years.

Funeral services held at the Bass Funeral Home at Hillsboro after which the body will be brought to Olney for interment at Haven Hill cemetery.

Mr. Adams was born near West Liberty, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Adams.

He was a member of the 1922 (sic) graduating class at Olney High school. He also graduated from the University of Illinois and had taught in several high schools of the state. He had served for a number of years as high school principal at Hillsboro prior to his illness several years ago. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Hillsboro, a thirty second degree Mason and Shriner.

He is survived by his wife, the former Georgia Fiock; a son, Robert of Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. D. A. (Blanche) Piper of Olney and Mrs. Bertha Payne of St. Louis.
