Mabel Blanche (Shepard) Hammer, 98, of Palatine, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002. Memorial services held at First United Methodist Church, Palatine. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, IL.

She was born September 24, 1903, daughter of Thomas J. and Evaline “Eva” (Phillips) Shepard.

Mabel was the dear wife of the late Albert Sr. "Ralph"; devoted mother of Albert Jr. and the late Dick (Aline); fond sister of Burl (Chloe) Shepard and Tom Shepard; fond half-sister of Elaine and Elbert Shepard; cherished grandmother of Tom (Cherie), Hellen, Ralph, Bill and Susan; loved great-grandmother of Zak, Zoe, Jennifer and Shawn; special aunt of Paula; and dear friend of many.
