Viola E. Kowa, 91, of Olney died Saturday February 4, 1995 at her home.

Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Kowa was born March 27, 1903 in Olney, the daughter of Martin R. and Louisa (Eggler) VonAlmen. She married John Kowa March 27, 1931 in Olney. He died January 20, 1989.

She was a music and art teacher in the East Richland School District from 1925-1960. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and also a member of the Retired Teachers Association and P.E.O. in Olney.

She is survived by a brother, Joe VonAlmen of Newburn, Tenn. and four nieces and nephews.

Kowa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and two sisters.
