Alfred Scherer, 86, Lake Villa, died Tuesday February 19, 1985 in Town Hall Estates, Wauconda.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Zumstein presiding. Burial in Fritschle Cemetery.

Mr. Scherer was born November 23, 1898 in Olney.  His wife, Gladys preceded him in death April 9, 1975 in Wauconda.

He was a retired farmer.

A son, James of Lake Villa survives.

He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant son, John Jacob.
