Clifford O. Ritter - Class Of 1920

CLIFFORD O. RITTER, age 67, well known and respected citizen of Olney, passed away very suddenly yesterday evening October 18, 1965 at the Richland Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted a short time before. He was a resident of 1219 East Main St.

Mr. Ritter was born in Decker Township, son of Charles Ritter and Armanella Bourne Ritter.

Mr. Ritter was a mechanic by trade and was generally recognized as one of the most proficient in his trade. He operated his own garage at 1219 E. Main Street.

He had an intense interest in the work of the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church in Olney and was one of it's most outstanding members. He was married to Ella Steffy on October 16, 1927 and she survives.

Also surviving is an adopted daughter, Mrs. Nancy Teitsort Reid of Centralia; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Bussiere of Glenview and Mrs. Nevada Abramovick of East Alton.

Funeral services at the Immanuel United Brethren Church in Olney with Rev. Joseph White and Rev. Glen Leathers officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
