Marie Stilwell, 81 of Champaign, died October 3, 1981 in Mercy Hospital in Urbana.  Services held in Champaign with burial in Mount Hope Mausoleum.

Mrs. Stilwell was born June 16, 1900 in Sailor Springs, the daughter of John I. and Cora Odell Levitt. She married Dr. Leland M.T. Stilwell August 3, 1929 in Alton and he preceded her in death October 18, 1979.

She was a member of the University Place Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Stilwell, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Betty King, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
