Charles Austin Hornback, 83, Scottsdale, Arizona and formerly of Olney died in November 1981 in Scottsdale.  The body was cremated.

Mr. Hornback ws born in Wayne County October 1, 1898, the son of James and Rena Hornback. He married Irene Talley and she survives.

He was a retired professor from Wisconsin and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Rex Hornback, Oregon and Dr. Ned Hornback, Indianapolis; a brother, Nolan Hornback, Olney; and seven grandchildren.
