Howard H. Cline - Class Of 1920

Howard H. Cline, 93 of Hoopeston, Illinois, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, November 29, 1995 in Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Cline was born August 24, 1902 in Olney, Illinois. He married Myrtle Lorene Cox on December 1, 1926 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She died April 26, 1981.

He attended Richland County Illinois schools and graduated from the University of Illinois. He was a teacher for more than 50 years, having taught in Olney, Albion, Armington, Fairmount, East Lynn, Milford, New Salisbury, Oxford and Bismarck, Illinois.

Mr. Cline was a member of the East Lynn United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (W. Jeanne) DeVore of St. John’s, Mich. and Mrs. George (F. Joanne) Durchslag of Redwood, Calif.; and a sister, Dr. Frances A. Cline of Rhinelander, Wis. Also surviving; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded by three sisters.

Services at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, Hoopeston. Interment in East Lynn Cemetery, East Lynn, Ill.
