Thomas Darrell Elie, 59, of West Liberty, died Sunday February 27, 2000 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Fr. Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Jasper County.

Mr. Elie was born June 22, 1940 in Jasper County, the son of Harry and Edith (Shryock) Elie. He married Donna Thompson May 9, 1964 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton.

He was a retired Custom Crop Specialist for Rich-Law Service Company.

Mr. Elie is survived by his wife, Donna Elie of West Liberty; one son, Patrick Elie of Newton; one daughter, Kathryn Huene and her husband, Michael of Mattoon; one brother, Pat Elie of Olney; five sisters, Jane Zwilling of Olney, Nancy Craig of  Fredricksburg, Va., Barbara Prince of Springfield, Mo., Judy Nunnery of Bloomington and Janet Marks of Olney; his mother, Edith Elie of Olney; and grandson, Harold Elie and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Elie.
