Neva E. Rankin, 85, of Gibson City, died Saturday (June 18, 1994) at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City.

Her funeral at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, the Revs. Dan Lybarger and Wally Krech officiating. Burial in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City.

She was born May 4, 1909, in Richland County, a daughter of Lee and Mary Faris Reed. She married Claude H. Rankin Jan. 4, 1932, at Effingham. He died Aug. 22, 1960.

Survivors include a son, Gene H. Rankin, Gibson City; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Mrs. Rankin lived in Gibson City area for 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Fisher; Women's Society of Christian Service; and Gibson City Senior Citizens group.
