Edna I. Boatman, 84, of Olney died Friday, January 14, 1994 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney. Funeral services held in the Chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial in Goss Cemetery near Claremont.

Miss Boatman was born December 31, 1909 in Richland County Illinois the daughter of Isaac and Emma (Fritz) Boatman. She was a retired school teacher in Richland County  schools and also worked at Richland Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney.

Survivors include four nieces, Hazel Scherer of Olney, Esther Sterchi of Dundas, Pauline Purcell of Bridgeport and Betty Cook of Trinity, Texas; three nephews, Carl Boatman of Colorado Springs, Co,  Ralph Scherer, Dunellen, Fl, Rev. Kenneth Scherer, Roscoe, Ill; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas (Hazel) Boatman, Olney and several great-nieces and nephews.

Miss Boatman was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
