Anne Therese Weber (Albers)

Anne Albers, 95, of Centerville, Ohio, formerly of Olney, died  Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Bethany Village in Centerville, where she lived the last four years.

Anne Therese (Teep) Weber Albers was born 30 Jul 1912 in Olney, Richland, Illinois and died 24 Oct 2007 in Bethany Village, Champaign, Ohio.

Mrs. Albers was the 11th and last to die of the 16 children of Dr. George T. and Elizabeth (Hausner) Weber, of Olney. Fourteen of those children lived to adulthood and raised children. Two others, George Herman, died in an accident at the age of 7, and Joseph Benedict, Anne's twin, died in infancy.

She was also preceded in death by her three husbands, George Day, Allen C. Hutcheson Jr. and Ray Albers, and one grandson, George Schulz Day, who died on December 17, 1988.

She was the mother of six children, Stephen Day, Pat Day, Joan Hutcheson, Tom Hutcheson, Dan Hutcheson, and Bob Hutcheson. She has 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was an avid sports fan and faithfully rooted for the Chicago Cubs and the Duke Blue Devils. She always had handiwork, applique or crochet while watching a gameShe was a faithful member of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church in Kettering and a community volunteer. For 20 years, she devoted her time and talents to the volunteer programs at Kettering Hospital. She liked to visit and was entirely interested in her whole family

Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed having them near. She took a keen interest in their lives, kept excellent track of their comings and goings and bragged on them like no tomorrow.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon today at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Kettering.

Burial was in David's Cemetery.
